pointed out at the time things fell apart for Joe, that he was being overworked and his age limitations were not being considered by his staff. He ultimately contracted Covid just before the debate ...likely because he worked himself so hard with the European trip prior to that and then right into debate prep with no rest in between. I feel that he knew if he begged off because of Covid he would be seen as "afraid to debate Trump" so I think they tried medicating him and hoped for the best. However, unwell Joe was the night of the debate. He answered every question posed to him accurately. He just didnt look well....because he wasn't. Trump was well and rested and he couldn't answer a single one....however, that wasn't held against him!

Then came the piling on....treating Joe like he had one foot in grave and already in a coffin....and no support whatsoever. It was shameful if you ask me.....we should have been able to drag his corpse to the finish line with Trump as the alternative

Then came the problem that far too many questioned if Kamala Harris was ready (still ignoring the fact that Trump was the only alternative). And even Joe Biden understood the calls for a new open primary were folks looking for a way to step over the Black female's body and find a "White man" instead. Biden recognized that and stepped down to prevent that from happening....and that is why he left *salty* as I still am at a few of my former heroes in the Party.

But I think what VP Kamala Harris meant, was that she should have pointed out, that Biden needed more rest whether it was him pushing himself too hard (the man was driven after all) or his staff not building in enough time for him to get some needed rest. And that to me was what was "reckless"
