6. Yikes! Though it sounds like you had a good time

I also went to an all-women's college, though it was a "coordinate" college with the men's college across the street. It was brand new and the men's college had started it, we could take courses from either college. The only issue was that that the men's college had been there since the 1600s and was rather staid while the women's college was extremely liberal - which was why it was my first choice - and I'm sure that my boarding school's reputation helped me get in. My grandmother took me for my interview, my father wanted nothing to do with it. But my relationship with my father was on the mend during those years, I no longer called and cried to come home.
