5. Optimistic soup

Saturday

This soup is named after my optimistic approach to buying groceries. Ingredients vary from batch to batch.

Tonight it is

Cabbage (tired looking & gotta be used)
Split peas (a small portion remaining in a bag in the pantry)
Onion
White potatoes cubed
Better than bouillon, ham flavored
Garlic
Salt
Pepper
Thyme
