1. I enjoy weird, quirky humor (and some horror) but I'm not sure this was successful.

Seemed like it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a comedy or a horror movie, so it didn't work all that well as either thing, since it was only occasionally funny and the horror was more gory than scary. There were some clever bits but I got the impression that the writers couldn't figure out how to do a conclusion - it was pretty contrived - or tie up a number of loose ends (like the vampy woman who met Xanthe at the pub toward the end. I didn't get what she was in the story for.).
