Seemed like it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a comedy or a horror movie, so it didn't work all that well as either thing, since it was only occasionally funny and the horror was more gory than scary. There were some clever bits but I got the impression that the writers couldn't figure out how to do a conclusion - it was pretty contrived - or tie up a number of loose ends (like the vampy woman who met Xanthe at the pub toward the end. I didn't get what she was in the story for.).

I was expecting so much more. It started out well, then seemed to lose steam. By the end I just wanted it to resolve itself and be over. I sort of got the feeling the vampy woman was introduced so there could be a second season. Just my two cents.
