Windows 11 desktop Bitlocker recovery issue [View all]

I recently had a power outage with my desktop still running. When I powered it back up, I got the Bitlocker recovery screen. I managed to get the recovery key on another device but when I went to type it in, I discovered the keyboard didn't work. Turns out this is a known issue with Windows 11 whereby USB devices don't work during recovery. Desperate, I powered it down and powered it back up while hitting the F12 key to get to the BIOS menu. First thing on the BIOS menu was "Windows Boot Manager", which I selected and hit "enter" on. The desktop started normally. I even did a restart and it restarted normally. Is there anything I should be worried about or is this just the new protocol for power outages?
