11. We're not required to clear our yard of leaves

We have one tree in our yard but when the leaves start detaching the leaf layers become thick.

I like to have the leaves mulched by the lawn mower and because the leaf layers are too thick I do a little bit of raking before the lawn mowing mulching. I rake the leaves bagless to the side of the road (not in the road) and the city picks them up on certain dates with either a leaf vacuum machine or a front loader machine.

A few reasons I like the leaves mulched up with the lawn mower is the mulched leaves are a natural fertilizer for the soil and for the insect ecosystem.

Yes, our lawn mower is still noise and air pollution much more compared to a leaf blower. It is the easiest way to mulch the leaves and give back natural fertilizer to the soil and to the ecosystem.
