I bought an electric nail clipper because I'm tired of how uneven nail scissors and clippers do the job. The electric nail clipper has two speed, is easy to use, and painless. You simply put your fingernail in the small slot where a rotating wheel gently grinds the nail down. Just move your finger left to right and back to ensure the entire nail is trimmed.

There is little to no noticeable vibration so using it on a one-year old child won't cause them to pull away or cry. Here's a link to Amazon where you can get one.
