DU parents why is cutting little kid nails such a problem? My experience is cutting dog& cat nails

I fell into an online discussion about cutting nails on kids under 1, is it hard to cut a human child nails?

My dogs were drama queens, I have to purriot wrap Shaw, she turns into a 6 pound tiger

I used to have to cut their nails while they were napping because if they were awake, they would fight it.

But he will tolerate a Dremel grinder doing the job. Funny how that works. The grinder makes a fairly loud whirring noise and it stinks pretty badly when his nails are being ground. But he's okay with that.

Maybe the feel of his nails being crushed within the clippers are the sound it makes when the clippers break through the nail really bothers him?

I bought an electric nail clipper because I'm tired of how uneven nail scissors and clippers do the job. The electric nail clipper has two speed, is easy to use, and painless. You simply put your fingernail in the small slot where a rotating wheel gently grinds the nail down. Just move your finger left to right and back to ensure the entire nail is trimmed.

There is little to no noticeable vibration so using it on a one-year old child won't cause them to pull away or cry. Here's a link to Amazon where you can get one.
