You are what I call an earth angel. In the right place at the right time to help a stranger. I needed one once in a hospital when I was about 10 and mom, always at my side, went to get a coffee to bring back to the room. It was then an intern/resident said he needed to saw a line down the front of a full leg cast because it was too tight. He started and I told him he was cutting me and he said that wasn’t possible. Then saw blade just vibrated and didn’t go around. I said you are cutting me and started crying. He wouldn’t stop. A stranger came over to hold my hand. An earth angel. 3 months later when the surgeon removed the cast he said I don’t recall making an incision down the front of your shin. I said you didn’t and told him what happened. I have a clearly visible 8 inch scar to this day. Anyway, that was my earth angel and I was able to do something similar a few years ago by sitting with a pregnant woman who was crying while waiting for an MRI or scan of some kind.
