A house down the street from me burned down. [View all]

I didn't know the people who lived there, but apparently everyone got out alive.

It must have happened when we were away on Labor Day weekend. We didn't hear or see a thing.

It's kind of scary since our fire department is volunteer, and there are no hydrants on my block - we have wells - so they had to come in with tankers when they were able to get here.

Nothing of the house was left but for a brick wall.
