Why the F do medical practices have patient portals that they don't monitor? Several of the physicians that I see have [View all]

websites with patient portals. Not one of them are monitored; inquiries are not responded to, files are not updated, and test and lab results are rarely posted.

Excuses I’m given include that they are third party managed, it’s not a priority for the responsible staff, and the physicians don’t have the time necessary to keep the portals current.

But, “The situation will be examined!”
