5. That was a prusten sound (the chuffing sound). Not really to warn but to comfort her cubs. The hiss was a warning.

She was telling her cubs they were OK, then she hissed to warn the person who was too close - then she chuffed again when she went to the back with her cubs - again to make them feel safe.
