(9,098 posts)4. I lived in Grayling Michigan for about 2 years
And worked at a canoe livery on the AuSable river. One of my friends that worked with me was Canadian and we both loved to drink a bunch and go fly fishing late at night. We were being pretty quiet for a bunch of inebriated mid twenty something guys when fishing so as not to scare the fish away and we heard 2 guys talking down river a bit. We saw them and they were fly fishing as well. My buddy from Canada all of a sudden made the cry from the Velociraptor from the movie Jurrasic Park,, go to about 8 seconds here
They ran like you wouldn't believe.

(94,834 posts)5. That was a prusten sound (the chuffing sound). Not really to warn but to comfort her cubs. The hiss was a warning.
She was telling her cubs they were OK, then she hissed to warn the person who was too close - then she chuffed again when she went to the back with her cubs - again to make them feel safe.
