5. Looking at your top graph, Cons Confidence, it's the lowest it's been since 2015-2016 aside from the 2020 pandemic year

and aside from around March & April of this year. (I can't determine the exact months because I can't find data without registering, so I'm just reading the graph).

Looking at the Expectations index on your 2nd graph, its the lowest its been since 2013 aside from around March & April of this year and aside from slightly lower levels during the worst of the 2022 inflation months.

Consumers’ average 12-month inflation expectations to 6.0% (down from 6.4% in May and 7% in April).


6.0% is pretty darn high.
