61. I wish the GOP would go the way

Of the Whigs, but they just keep churning. Eventually I see them splitting into several factions. Some of these will coalesce into real parties aligned on a republican spectrum.

Unfortunately I can see the same happening in the Democratic party too. Maybe not as many factions, but the split between FDR Dems, Progressives and New Way Centrist democrats is just as toxic to us. And I think after the last 10 years people have had enough of the moneyed elite controlling everything.

It won't happen right away but I believe politics is in for a huge rewrite here. Like... an updated more clearly written constitution and smaller political parties representing more of their constituents interests. I don't think we'll morph into a parliament but even that wouldn't surprise me. We stand on the precipice of something exciting, once we can finish dredging up all the corruption and truly draining the swamp. I would love to be here to see it but I have a feeling it'll be after my time.

The fly in the ointment, for me, are the magas. How do we handle them... work with... them. We can't just let them go back underground again. That just assures they'll rise again once they reorganize. Somehow we have to raise them up past their racism misogyny and hate and make them good world citizens. Transforming govt will be a snap compared to that!
