38. Healing is not the same as growing back.

Had the post I responded to said growing back, I wouldn't have said anything (on that point, at least).

We aren't salamanders. We don't grow back body parts (aside from the liver). Not my daughter. Not Evander Holyfield. Not Trump.

But that wasn't the claim. It was that cartilage does not heal.

None of us has examined his ear up close, nor do we have a report as to the extent of the original damage. A minor cartilage tear does not take that long to heal. There is probably a scar - but from how quickly it healed, it is safe to assume the damage was much less than Trump wanted us to believe. I doubt the scar would be visible from a distance - my daughter's certainly isn't.

But to suggest that it was all a fake is as insensitive to those killed it injured as it was when the Republicans suggested Sandy Hook was all crisis actors.
