28. You're basing that on one instance where she told a errant staffer to get out of a video shot.

It was not said in public, the staffer was not publicly humiliated. All she said was "Get out of the fucking shot." She was filming a video for Biden and the staffer wandered into the shot. That was 5 years ago. That is all people base this "she's mean to staff" claim on. If a man had told that to a staffer who had mistakenly wandered into a shot and forced a reshooting of the video, the staffer would have apologized and we would have never heard about it. Those kind of statements are said at work places all of the time. When men say it, they are considered tough and in control; when women say it, they're considered mean, bitchy or hysterical. It is a sexist double standard.

I was a volunteer for Katie Porter when she was running in my purple district in Orange County, CA. Phone banking was tough going because the district included very red Huntington Beach. She often showed up at the campaign office as we toiled away to cheer us on and inspire us, bringing cookies and pizza. She was always kind to us and very down to earth.

As a single mom running a campaign (her kids were teens then), she had a no-nonsense style and used swear words, like most adults I know do. But apparently female candidates are not allowed to, even in private. I think that's bullshit.

She is not way down. She slipped 6 points. She would win in a walk against Bianco in November. SunSeeker Nov 14 #19
