Scenarios on Epstein [View all]

The House has cleared the release of the Epstein files. It goes to the Senate, which, by a squeaker, passes the bill.

It goes to Trump.

What happens next?

I see only three scenarios here:

1. Trump vetoes the bill, where it goes back to the House and Senate. They override the veto. At that point, Trump, knowing that damning evidence will come out, resigns.

2 Trump signs the bill (very reluctantly). It goes back to the House and Senate, where the GOP knowing that they can no longer protect him, launch an investigation to keep it very highly focused on Trump exclusively. Impeachment and dismissal become a possibility.

3. Trump steps down for reasons of ill health, Vance takes over. The investigation is quietly ended.

May be overly optimistic here, but I think Trump's days are numbered.
