(19 posts)Am I the only one on DU wondering about all the emphasis on "girls" (young women)??? As camoflage for another aspect of this whole affiar? BOYS...
I am a person of Faith and in my long involvement with the church, it has been much more exceptable to talk about the abuse of "girls" (young women) than it has been to honestly discuss the abuse of "Boys" (young men). But the satistical count might reveal an even split between the abuse of females and the abuse of males. THIS might be the real scandal in the MSM and among the "elite" in corporate america.
We talk about how difficult it is for young women to come forward and testify about the abuse they have recieved. But the shame, guilt and self blame among boys and young men is magnified by the cultural baggage of "men needing to pull their big boy panties up." And not complain about the pain and suffering they carry.
Not sure there has been another book about Boys in Sex Trafficing since the 70's with "FOR MONEY OR LOVE" about "boy prostitution.
There is just as much market and money involved with Boys in the Trade as with Girls.
Some one should investigate this aspect of the Epstein Case too.
Enough said...
