Stuckey is an authoritarian, who is using the predominant religion in her country to say "what I think is right; anyone who disagrees with me is evil. I don't care about people not like me, and I hate anyone who even seems to criticise an aspect of how I see myself". If she were in Iran, she'd be backing the religious police beating women whose hair shows from under their scarfs. If she were in North Korea, she'd be praising the Kims as supermen, and wanting anyone who complains sent to labour camps.
She sees that there's a dangerous amount of empathy in the Christian Bible that would undermine her authority, so she's gaslighting her followers, to get them to believe that what a Christian should do is order everyone around.
