...absent of a re-trial in which they would be in control of that, because her case is still on appeal.

I don't think Trump wants to pardon her. DOJ isn't even supporting her appeal.

I do see Blanche working the case for Trump, as a liason between Maxwell and Congress since no legislator has the same access to her.

The immunity would advantage her in a retrial, now that Trump and DOJ have (deliberately?) muddled the conviction.
