yet also highly regulated capitalist sectors that work synergistically with expansive social welfare systems to produce some of the highest standards of living on the planet.

Here in Sweden, the actual socialist and/or communist parties (the largest one by far now is called Vänsterpartiet aka The Left Party) have never been officially in a Government (Regeringen). At times they have been in a 'confidence and suppy' scheme with my party here, The Social Democrats, the overall single largest Party in Sweden on balance, over most of the past century or so.

The Swedish Social Democrats have ofttimes had a pretty antagonistic relationship over the last century with the actual socialist and communist parties.
