I have always felt that the murder of so many liberals such as JFK, RFK, MLK, etc. in the 1960s began the decline of liberalism and the long slide into the barbaric and destructive conservatism (that conserves nothing) we suffer through today. IMO there have been no liberals for the past 60 years who have been able to energize the American people to build a better society. I often wonder how different and hopefully better our country might have been if those leaders had lived.

Since the 1990s the rightwing media has been adept at spinning its lies and dividing us into warring camps. The Right plays dirty and seizes more power than it merits through gerrymandering, appointment of arch conservatives to the supreme court, voter fraud, stolen elections such as 2000 and possibly 2016, and a variety of other dirty tricks and character assassinations that would have made Josef Goebbels smile. This must be stopped. Where are our leaders?
