The problem for Trump is:

A. His MAGA base has been so conditioned for years to believe that there is a literal “Epstein List” (comprised entirely of Democrats and liberal celebrities) so when they have to come out and sheepishly admit there is no real list, his followers get all upset

And

B. While there’s no actual “list” there is an investigative file comprised of thousands of pages and it’s possible that somewhere in those pages there might have been some information about Trump that was embarrassing to say the least
