You can easily go bankrupt. Outpatient hospice is terrible in our area leaving you with little to no care for very ill people. A lot more to say but I am too exhausted to get into it now. The outpatient charges a fortune to medicare for doing basically almost nothing.
After all I have seen and experienced I sincerely hope when I die it happens suddenly, for so many reasons, and also so my family will get what I want them to and not go bankrupt etc.

I am so sorry for him to have to put up with all that, and then pass. And your frustration. Your anger is justified.

My Grandpere spent the last month or so of his life in a hospice. It was a gift to us all...

I can't imagine how my experience with Hospice could have been any better than it was.

I took care of my husband at home. The hospice nurse came a few times to make sure everything was ok.
