(149,302 posts)What Joe Biden decides to do in the interim period before the convention remains to be seen, but I expect we'll be hearing more from him on a more frequent basis.
Look for him to comment more on the COVID-19 pandemic and the lousy job Trump is doing, although he won't say that directly at this point, since there are still sick and dying people everywhere. Instead, he will probably encourage people to keep up with the precautions most people are already taking and recommend other actions. He has a bully pulpit now, but not THE bully pulpit.
He's going to make a strong appeal for Democratic Party unity, and will be reaching out to others who may have made the mistake of voting for Trump. He'll do that by offering a solid alternative point of view, but not by calling on Republicans directly to switch horses.
Will the media cover him fully? That's a good question. I don't have an answer, given the pandemic coverage. It will depend on where Biden takes the conversation.
