(166 posts)32. You misinterpreted my joke
That wasnt intended about race. I was joking about the rumors going around about Haley being involved with a South Carolina pol back around the time Sanford got in trouble.
A second man is claiming to have had an affair with Nikki Haley, the married frontrunner to be the Republican candidate for South Carolina governor. Larry Merchant, a well-known lobbyist and political consultant, says he had a one-night stand with Haley, who has been fighting back allegations that she slept with a conservative blogger. (Haley is hoping to succeed Gov. Mark Sanford, who is infamous for his Argentinian affair.) Merchant says the political night of passion happened at a 2008 school-choice conference in Salt Lake City, when Haley was a state representative on the insurance subcommittee and he was the insurance industrys chief lobbyist. Haleys staff denies the allegation. She can deny it, Merchant says. Let the people decide. I know what happened, and my conscience is clear.

Biden's VP pick needs to be someone who's young enough (and eager enough) to take over.
