Democrat O'Malley hints at joining GOP primary debate. [View all]

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is so serious about increasing the number of debates that he's willing to join the Republican presidential candidates on stage in February.

On Tuesday the conservative website IJReview announced that it would be partnering with ABC News to host a New Hampshire primary debate. The "social-first news company" hopes to aim the debate towards a younger audience, and engage more Americans in the process.

A gif released by IJReview following the announcement of the debate, shows O'Malley receiving a text message reading "Want to make a cameo in the GOP debate?" O'Malley looks at the camera and responds "Sure."

O'Malley's campaign staff sent a statement to the press elaborating.

"New leadership means shaking things up. Governor O'Malley believes in more debates not fewer," the email read. "And he's happy to take on the GOP field any or all of them."
