No undocumented person should be afraid of reporting crime. In particular, reporting domestic violence crime for fear of being deported.

Local governments should not be responsible for the job of ICE— and quite honestly this is the responsibility of congress to fix this.

States and cities(blue rates and cities to be very specific) are doing everything they can to make sure that people feel secure in reporting crime.

It's pretty simple, no one EVER should feel fear for reporting a crime.

I sometimes get the feeling that a lot of people mistake sanctuary cities for something that they are not. Sancuary means this:

If you report a crime, if you are a victim of domestic violence, if you see a victim and report it, no one is going to go after you for your immigration status.

That is the job of the federal government, and it snot the responsibility for state and city government to report it to ICE.

We need immigration reform. We need a path to citizenship but we also need for people to feel safe when reporting crime.
