Mayor de Blasio is hoping the same people who Feel the Bern will Feel the Blaz.

Vermont senator and former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will rally with Hizzoner on Monday as he approaches Election Day, the mayor’s campaign announced Wednesday.

Sanders, an independent who ran a populist and progressive campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination that lit up with young people in particular, is the second prominent pol on the national scene to wade into the race — Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren sent out a fund-raising appeal for de Blasio last week.

While Sanders is a native of Brooklyn, de Blasio’s home borough, the rally will be held at Terminal 5 in Manhattan. The popular pol’s appearance with the mayor will inject a bit of excitement into what’s been a fairly sleepy race so far.
