10. This is exactly what happened to my late husband

He wouldn't use the walker and was set to get rid of "the stick".

He was very confused.

I tried to tell him, I tried but he did not listen.

He fell and broke his right hip. He seemed to tolerate the surgery ok but ... sepsis some how set in and that was more or less the end of him.

He was transferred from the hospital to hospice. He was there for almost one week and he was tended to 24/7. I am glad I was able to provide that for him.

He died last night.

It was a such a hell.

I hope your step-dad is able to recover and get well!

Take care of you too.

It is so easy to get lost in the shuffle during this process.
