What pisses me off about some of our Environmental Groups is that they seem to have been tools for special interests who took money from innocent people truly wanting to do something positive to help our environment and used it for their own purposes.

We donated to "Environmental Defense Fund" for many years way back....until we found out what they were about. We also used to give to the "Nature Conservancy" until we found it it was a boondoogle for corporations and wealthy to buy land that was supposed to be held in reserve for environmental purposes. Instead there was a loophole that allowed the Conservancy to do deals with corporations to use the land for other purposes.

"Food and Water Watch" is a great group. And, so far...not a sign of any Corporate tentacles.
