2016 Postmortem
In reply to the discussion: Who Else has stopped watching broadcast news since the election? [View all]avebury
(11,148 posts)31. I got rid of my cable a while back and wonder
why I didn't do it sooner.
Outside of the local weather I am not even interested in the local news. I stick to DU an appreciate it when someone posts a link to a good/relevant story. I have really tried to not spend a lot of energy on what is going on, it is too much like watching a train wreck.
I think that how the Democrats handle the situation in Congress will say a lot about how much they are willing to draw a line in the sand and fight back. This will be a make or break time on whether the Democrats can pull it together to fight for change and to make advances in Congress (and hopefully take back the WH).

What means "broadcast"? I rarely watch cable-light news, but I do watch local stuff...

Right here. Downgraded my satellite service so don't receive CNN, MSNBC, fox, and CNBC

Yes. Or reading the newspaper. Or reading CNN online, etc. Or radio. Only DU for a while for me.
