The true color of a persons character really isnt how they vote or their politics, but what they do when faced with standing up for their fellow person. If you voted the right way but refuse to house somebody who will certainly die, then your true colors are shown. If you voted the wrong way but stand up for a hundred people who may face chambers, then you have vindicated yourself far beyond any vote you can make. Not that those things will happen, but a vote is nothing compared to how you react when faced with the deepest of moral crises.
