although that term gets thrown around a lot, and not always correctly IMHO. Just being "popular" does not mean that the politician labeled a populist has majority support. In fact, I believe that most populists tend to be supported by a very vocal minority, and thrive in a society in which many, many voters don't participate. That is certainly true in Trump's case.
