2016 Postmortem

For whatever reason, traffic tonight was unlike ever before. We have had BHO, HRC, Shrub in town many times and never had issues like this.

One of the local newscasters was onsaying that she was 45 minutes into her 6 minute drive to work...and she estimated she was less that 25% of the way there.

There were roads and expressway entrances closed in places that made absolutely no sense relative to the airport-arena route. People were calling the radio stations talking about being shunted off the expressways onto surface streets that were also closed.

My read...manufactured chaos designed for two reasons. First to blame low turnout at the "celebration". Second, so he could take credit for all the traffic trying to get to the celebration.

Both bullshit.

Lots of local conversation last couple days of people signing up for tickets with no intention of going just to eat up the tickets. Remember, we are in Hamilton county and we're blue on blue Arron's here.

Not sure if it is true in other cities but we have no seating in large arenas without assigned seating. That's a legacy of the 12/3/79 Who concert tragedy. There are also a lot of laws about congregating or protesting in the arena plaza area since that's where the deaths occurred.

Who knows if it was planned but I've still got friends trying to get home.
