Even with family, I get overwhelmed by large groups. 4 people at one time is my limit. Fortunately, my husband is quite extroverted, and he stays with me until I find the corner of the room I want to plant myself in. It's never long until another introvert finds me and sits down. I introduce myself by saying I'm introverted and I can only take so much talking before I must hide in a corner. We then have a great time while my husband drops by to see if we need anything to eat or drink. He's the best! (Plus he gets to mingle with his fellow extroverts, lol!)
