helping me get the "safe room" on the main floor cleared out and made ready, just in case. We've got them all around us. We've in warnings and now a watch til midnight. But the safe room is sold concrete walls, floor, etc. I do feel safe in there. Cat carriers are ready with doors open, a box of blankets ready to go over all of us. Put in a tool kit and a med kit. I think we're ready should anything happen. The hardest will be trying to get the cats into the room. They'll be hiding and/or fighting us the whole while. But grandson says he's staying to make sure we're okay and to help should anything come close. My intuition is telling me it'll go around us this time, and the most we're going to have to deal with is water flooding the house from downpours of rain. We need a new roof in the back of the house, where we are most of the time. And the way the ground slants and the house shifting lately, has left us prone to water pouring in under the backdoor. But plenty of towels and buckets stand at the ready. I'm feeling calm inside, which will help where the cats are concerned.

I hate what people have to go through with the severe weather... and I do hate the aftermath; we've done a lot of cleanup after downpours this year so far. But not enough money to redo the roof on the back of the house... it got eaten up by the taxes this year. But, I'll admit to being a total weather buff inside. I love the thunder and lightning; it speaks to me. I should have been a meteorologist instead of getting into computers! To all, be safe.
