6. Ouch! Up here in Newark our kids couldn't get in the development

When they came home from work due to a tree bringing down power lines and a utility pole. There was a police car stuck inside our development so they probably cleared it faster than they would have. The entrance to the development was blocked about 6 hrs. Our electricity was out 9 hrs. I checked PulsePoint and at one time they had 60 electrical emergencies in an hour for New Castle County. This morning DelDOT posted a list of 47 NCC roads that were still closed.

Both daughter and son ended up spending the night at our son’s fiancé’s house across town.

I hope you faired well in your neck of the woods.

Ever since a tree came down on our house during Sandy, I get really uncomfortable when we have heavy winds or the ground is ultra saturated.
