5. Do "heroic dose" hallucinations count?

I've had out of body experiences on the "other side" while under the influence of various hallucinogenic substances; I dare say every bit as visceral and influential as a traditional near death experience. The fundamental hallucination involves the dissolution of ego; the death of ones soul. The "heroic dose" experience is a near death expierience. Not only in the dissolution of self into the cosmic aether, but by ingesting mass amounts of hallucinogenic substances, you are literally poisoning your body. The things I've come to understand in this state defy the brevity of this post, but are the nearest thing I have to "religious" or "spiritual" in my life.

Long story short, because of my medicinal application of "heroic doses" over the years, along with a robust seekers education, I no longer fear death or infinity. I wonder if a traditional "near death" experience could even add more depth to these experiences?
