He is probably most famous for his claim that π is actually 4, though with the caveat that it be a “kinematic situation”, which sort of misses some important points about how mathematics works and π is calculated. Mathis also thinks that standard mathematical derivatives are false, and consequently that most of math and science is wrong well, predictive success to the contrary.

- So, according to this guy, if you have a string on a spool, then the length of the string depends on how fast you unwind the spool?

- Does this guy know that if you have a print-out of a diagram of your function, you can actually measure mathematical derivatives with a ruler?

Seriously, WTF? This guy is failing at Highschool-level math and he wants to revolutionize physics?
