5. Fresh water runoff into oceans could disrupt the salinity of drop off points.

Warm ocean currents could shut down and not warm the areas far from the Equator. Cold water would not drop deep and up-well near the Equator bringing blessed cooling to the hot regions.
If this shuts off it takes a thousand years or more to regenerate. Before that happens we would see rapid glaciation in the polar regions and blistering heat around the Equator.
