...is published in connection with solar thermal plants, but this is not realistic.

I believe thermochemical cycles are published with a solar connection with an eye to getting funding and not because they're even remotely viable.

Almost all thermochemical publications are adaptable to nuclear settings however which is why I make a point of reading them.
