I was working on something similar.

Antisemitism is so deeply ingrained in our world, and the antisemetic tropes run so deep, that it's part of the collective unconscious mind. People will believe Hamas propaganda instantly--along with the outrage and virtue signaling that it is designed, yes, designed to cause. There is no rational thinking, no discernment, and no common sense. If it's anti-Israel, it's automatically true.

OTOH, anything that attempts to bring the lies into the light is instantly labeled as "zionist propaganda", or some variation thereof, often accompanied by slurs against Israel and Netanyahu.

I have to conclude that many are so ignorantly imbued with confirmation bias that their common sense is out the window. For some reason I do not understand, the left, long a friend of the Jewish nation, has swallowed the hook, line, and sinker of antisemitism. Of course, calling it antizionism instead, as it is somewhat more socially acceptable.
