6. This latest BlueSky post says that the hurricane will cross over Jamaica in 5 hours

That is considerably better than what was predicted a few days ago - that it would take 2 or more days to cross over the island. As long as Melissa keeps moving, in this case it's northward movement, the less chance for rainwater to build up and cause floods, landslides and other problems.

I'm sure that Malaise will check in as soon as she can ... we're all pulling for her and her loved ones to get through this.
