But I don't understand how, having had a recent cup of coffee can keep you from getting a Temple Recommend (a permission to enter the LDS Temples issued only after an intrusive annual examination by Church leadership to ensure adherence to LDS moral guidelines), but Utah's US Senator Mike Lee can skate by after making reprehensible jokes about the assassination of a Democratic politician and her husband?
I'm not Catholic either, but I have a bit of confidence that Pope Leo would have called out a Catholic politician who made such comments.
So where is the comparable statement from the Prophet of the LDS Church??
