so I could see it and read the chyrons but it was on mute. When I read to the students that Disneyland and Sea World were closed they all gasped since that was something they could understand. They knew that it was serious.

Adults behave and react in the same way. When the NBA canceled games and Tom Hanks (like with Rock Hudson and AIDS) were announced more American adults woke up and took notice.
