Does anyone know if a Sony Playstation 3 with Blueray will play a musical CD? [View all]

I have some meditation and musical type CDs, but my old CD player for some reason won't play them although it will play other musical CDs.

So I thought of trying my Sony Playstation but I didn't want to mess something up.
