It works! I did it last night but went to bed before checking if it went through, came online just now and it works! Just go to these links:

And login with your Planetside 2 account! You can cancel the install program that downloads immediately after (or just delete them). You don't have to play those other games.

Going to play a bit to spend those certs just in case it's a glitch or an unintended promotion.

But yeah, you really need certs if you want to get anywhere early on, or you need to play a lot.

There has been an issue with "aimbots" but I think that because there are so many players that "aimbots" really hurt Sony's bottom line (ie, breaks the economy) as opposed to actually hurting gameplay. It's just so chaotic and massive at times, that they can't really make a real dent in gameplay itself. And Sony is trying their best to ban the aimbotters. So there's that.
